Terms of Service Privacy Policy Acceptable Use

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes activities and content that are prohibited when using BriefBlaster (the "Service"). It supplements our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP. We may update it from time to time, and the version posted here governs your use.

Purpose

BriefBlaster is a platform for creating and operating AI-assisted publications. Because you control what your publications produce and publish, you are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service is lawful and consistent with this AUP. The standards below apply to content created, generated, stored, or distributed through the Service, and to your conduct on the platform.

Prohibited Content

You may not use the Service to create, generate, store, publish, or distribute content that:

  • Is illegal, or promotes or facilitates illegal activity;
  • Infringes or misappropriates the intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any person;
  • Is defamatory, fraudulent, deceptive, or knowingly false in a way that causes harm;
  • Constitutes child sexual abuse material, or sexualizes or endangers minors in any way;
  • Is hateful, harassing, or incites violence or discrimination against individuals or groups;
  • Depicts or promotes self-harm, or provides instructions for creating weapons or other materials intended to cause serious harm;
  • Contains malware, or is designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to systems or data;
  • Is spam, or is intended to manipulate search rankings, deceive readers, or impersonate a person or organization.

Prohibited Conduct

You may not, and may not permit others to:

  • Violate, attempt to circumvent, or interfere with the security, integrity, or availability of the Service;
  • Access the Service or its data through unauthorized means, or probe, scan, or test its vulnerabilities without authorization;
  • Circumvent usage limits, access controls, plan entitlements, or billing;
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted;
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited communications or to scrape or collect data in violation of applicable law or another party's terms;
  • Misuse third-party AI provider credentials, or use the Service in violation of any AI provider's terms.

AI-Specific Responsibilities

AI-assisted features can produce output that is inaccurate, biased, or misleading. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-generated content before publishing it. You may not present AI-generated content in a manner intended to deceive readers about its nature where disclosure is required by law, impersonate real individuals or organizations, or use the Service to generate content that violates the Prohibited Content standards above. You are responsible for any disclosures your jurisdiction requires regarding automated or AI-assisted content.

Publisher Responsibilities

As the operator of your publications, you are the publisher of record for everything they produce. You are responsible for compliance with all applicable laws, including those governing journalism, advertising and sponsored content, consumer protection, defamation, copyright, and data protection. You are responsible for moderating content, handling reader data appropriately, maintaining your own terms and privacy notices where required, and responding to complaints and takedown requests relating to your publications.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations of this AUP. In response to a violation, or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Service, our users, or third parties, we may remove or disable content, suspend or limit features, suspend or terminate Outlets or accounts, and take any other action permitted under our Terms of Service or by law. We may act with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.

Reporting

To report content or conduct that may violate this AUP, contact us at hello@briefblaster.com with a description of the issue and relevant links. Complaints about a specific publication should also be directed to that publication's operator, who is responsible for its content.
